Afro Samurai Hands-on Preview (Xbox 360)

Just a few minutes into Namco Bandai’s Afro Samurai—a title based on the adult-aimed, Samuel L. Jackson voiced anime series—and I was hooked hard by its super-stylized production values and ambitious presentation. The visuals, voice work, and score come together beautifully, delivering an authentic experience fans of the series will absolutely adore, and even Afro newcomers will have a hard time resisting. Put simply, it provides a detail-drenched showcase of artistic ass kicking. All this, and the combo-heavy, gory combat is pretty slick, too.
